Year of birth: 1972. A pro-Russian politician, in the 1990s, he was a figure in the police dossiers as a member of the organized criminal groups Greeks and Salem. Deputy head of the Russian Community of Crimea public organization, chairman of the Russian Unity political party, member of the Verkhovna Rada of the ARC. On February 27, 2014, he was illegally appointed Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the ARC, took an active part in the pro-Russian rebellion, acting as the leader of the separatist regime in Crimea. On 03/18/2014, he signed a so-called "treaty", unrecognized by the international community, with Vladimir Putin "on the accession of the Republic of Crimea to Russia". Thereafter, Aksyonov has been invariably in charge of the occupation administration of Crimea. Meanwhile, a court in Kyiv ruled to detain Aksyonov, and the USA, Canada and the EU put his name to the sanctions lists.
