Representative body of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. Unofficially, it was called the Crimean Parliament, although, under the Constitution, it did not have the lawmaking powers. It consisted of 100 members. The ruling Party of Regions had the largest faction (80 seats) in the last convocation before the occupation. The national democratic forces that supported the European course of Ukraine had 5 seats, and the pro-Russian party of the future self-proclaimed Prime Minister Sergey Aksyonov had 3 seats. On 03/15/2014, the Ukrainian Parliament resolved on the early termination of the mandate of the Verkhovna Rada of Crimea.
