The occupiers persecute for participation in the Crimean platform
Detention of Nariman Dzhelyal and the Akhtemov brothers
Nariman Dzhelyal is a well-known Crimean Tatar activist, journalist, who is currently a political prisoner of the Kremlin. For a long time, Dzhelyal was the highest-ranking representative of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, who remained in the temporarily occupied Crimea. In spite of the danger, he fought for human rights on the peninsula, told the world the truth about the realities there. A few days after returning from Kyiv, from the Summit of the Crimean Platform, the occupiers illegally arrested Nariman Dzhelyal. 5 illegal searches took place in Crimea at the same time, allegedly in connection with the explosion at the gas pipeline, illegal charges were brought against 3 Crimean Tatars: Nariman Dzhelyal, Asan Akhtemov, and Aziz Akhtemov. The people were brutally tortured, which is further evidence of the systematic persecution of Crimean Tatars on the occupied peninsula on political, ethnic and religious grounds. Even in prison, Nariman and his sworn brothers continue to fight for justice and express support for the Ukrainian army.
